Optic Nerve

I have to see the ye doc every 2 years because my optic nerve is bigger than the other. he says i may develop glaucoma. now i dont have eye insurance so its $140 per appointment. should i keep going? is it likely i will develop glaucoma? im only 24.

Agree completely with other poster.  Glaucoma usually has absolutely no symptoms at all.  It is a silent disease but if undetected and untreated, it can cause complete blindness.  Fortunately if it is detected, treatment is usually very simple and loss of vision is unlikely.  Don't take chances, get it checked as scheduled.

Yes, I would. I have just been diagnoised with acute angle-closure glaucoma. Now I have to have surgery, and hopefully I will not go blind in the future. Yes, you are only 24, but glaucoma can happen to anyone, at any age. $140.00 every two years in not that much money. Your eyesight is priceless. Please keep going.
