You are never going to get a doctor on this site to offer any solutions for a floater, I promise you. They all follow the party line..floaters are common place, minor problems, not worth the risk of treating in any way and likely will go away...period.
It is true that it likely will become less bothersome over time. Give it plenty of time, maybe about a year. If it still is a major problem, search the web under floaters and you will find info about three U.S. doctors who can treat these things with lasers and probably more in Europe.
Dear Dr Feldman
Thank you for your time and feedback which I appreciate.
I have seen two different GPs and had my BP checked at least four times and twice at the eye hospital all readings have been about the same.
It seems that here in the UK unless your BP is something like 180/110 then they wont treat you.
Regarding the Floater/PVD the specialist said all we could hope for was that it should break overtime and fall out of sight.
Its so distressing and affects my working day and life in general is miserable
Hi Doctor Feldman!... How are you?
My name is melvin, and i have pterygium on my left eye since i was 13, and its getting big. Im now at Calgary Alberta, I hope you know someone from here in Calgary or even within Alberta that i can consult. I want my eyes to get fixed coz its not gettin any better.
Please help me Dr. Feldman. Thank you!
Dear coincatcher,
I would follow the advice of one of the eyeMD’s with whom you felt most comfortable and establish care with that doctor for evaluation of progression and should symptoms warrant immediate care. With regards to the blood pressure, I would seek a second opinion as this is high and may warrant treatment.
Dr. Feldman
