Sorry if this has been asked/answered but I wasn't able to find an answer when I did a search.  Is a PVD the same as vitreous seperation?  I've been disgnosed with vitreous seperation in my left eye and am curious if thats the same as having a PVD in my left eye.

PVD  = posterior vitreous detachment.  Detachment and separation are the same.
