PVD symptoms or retinal tear?

8 days ago I had an allergic reaction to some yard work.  My right lower eyelid swelled up and partially blocked my vision.  It started to go down in a day, but then I noticed lightning arcs in the periphery and an inky black curtain start at the bottom of my right vision and creep up to about 2/3 of my right eye's vision in a span of about 36 hours.  Then, the dark spots started to fade, and what I have been experiencing lately is a cobweb sort of brownish background in my right eye, and two or three somewhat darker 'blobs' that move around as I move my eye.  My vision is distorted around these 'blobs' and sometimes they are clear like bubbles.  I was diagnosed with a large stye in my lower right eyelid.  My optometrist said the dark spots are caused by the stye.  It has been five days since seeing my doctor and the stye has gotten a little smaller, but I am concerned there has been damage done to my retina or PVD symptoms? I do recall rubbing my eyes a lot when it was swollen - could that have caused some damage?

PLEASE TREAT THIS AS AN EMERGENCY: Your symptoms are highly suggestive of a retinal detachment. You need to see an eye MD ophthalmologist NOT an optometrist. your pupils needed to be dilated and an extensive careful exam of the retina made.   If you live in area with retina specialists call and ask for emergency visit today.  Or ask your family MD to arrange an emergency exam today or tomorrow at latest. Or call your optometrist and DEMAND he/she refer you to retina specialist today.

Thank you I am in the process of finding one now.  My vision has stayed like this for about five days now - after the dark black curtain went away - does that mean the retina has detached? Would I still be able to see if it were completely detached?
The retina rarely totally detaches, it usually partially detaches.  The urgency is to try and prevent the detached part from extending into the macula where the fine reading vision is located.  the prognosis for good vision goes way down if the macula is detached. Proceed with getting in to an ophthalmologist as soon as possible. Please to assist other come back and post what was found.
