You need to speak to your surgeon.

Thanks for your previous answer. As a follow up:
We understand that the surgeon induced miosis at the end of my wife's surgery in order to hold the IOL in place. Over 48 hours later, her iris is still a virtual pinhole
On her follow-up visit, the surgeon's associate said that all was well, and that the small pupil would relax within a few days.
My wife is really concerned since in any environment darker than full daylight she sees virtually nothing. Should we be expecting a gradual return to the correct pupil size,or will it be a more sudden event?. Also, How long post surgery should this take? If we can be reassured that it may take some time, then it will help lower the level of anxiety she is experiencing. Right now it feels like it's never going to open up.
Thanks,
No Pain. How long should it take to resolve.
Often medications are put in the eye to constrict the pupil to hold the implant back away from the cornea. It's not a big deal as long as there is no severe pain.
