There are too many causes of his problem to even offer useful or hopeful advice. Suggest getting second and third opinions. If nothing else can be done try and do everything to keep the remaining sight for the rest of his life.

Hello doctor
My grandfather lost 70% of his site a couple of years ago, he had several retinal detachment & cataract surgeries, and then his optic nerve was severely damaged. is there any way we can get his site back, he s willing to try anything
Your description of your problem "optic nerve damage" is too vague to tell you anything about treatment or prognosis. You will need to get that from your treating ophthalmologist.

Okay then I have a few other questions that you may be able to answer.
1. What is the possibility that I am going to loose my site?
The reason that I ask this is because it seems like the older I get things begin to look blurry to me and even after I have had my eyes examined. It happens about six months after I get new glasses. I have already been told that I am at the strongest they have for bifocals.
2. Is there any way to fix my eyes with surgery?
Your optic nerves will not disconnect without major trauma to the eyeball and socket.
