Rainbow halos around certain white lights

Hi,
I have been experiencing some eye problems such as halos around lights at night.
Some are just one color like street lights (yellow-orange color). White lights, depending on the kind, have a rainbow ring around them. Like I said, it usually depends on the light. But I can only see it at night, when it's dark.
My boyfriend told me he can see the ones around street lights. But he never saw the rainbow ones. He has 20/20 vision.
I have a optometrist apt this afternoon. Hope it helps to clear it out.
I would certainly appreciate some help on this...

I had surgury with an Acrysof monofocal lens. back in January 2012. I still see halos and glare. I can only see out of the eye that was operated on ,no vision or light in my blind eye since birth. So is the recovery time longer in my case? How long for the brain to readapt?

My wife is experiencing similar symptoms but she just had Lasik surgery and we believe it may be related due to medical studies we find on the internet.  Are you familiar with this complication and if so, more importantly, any treatments to correct it?

Yes, most likely could be cataracts, corneal disease. See a REAL eye physician ophthalmologist. Find one at www.aao.org

Hi
I have been seeing starburt reflections off of cars, mirrors, signs etc, during the day, and rainbow haloes around white lights at night, and just normal haloes around lights that have colors to them. I have been to the opt. two times and the pressure is fine and no vision loss, could this be something else? I would appreciate the advise.
