sometimes i have vision problems close up even without my contacts but its mostly when the contacts are on
The pinholes serve a similar purpose as lenses that refract light. By narrowing the path of the light reflected from objects in your surroundings, every ray is a straight line, and so, perfectly in focus. It is only the indirect or lines of light that come at an angle into your eye that are blurred that cause you to need glasses. The pinholes, in effect, filter these out.
So, you are right. If the pinholes improve your vision, your problem is one of refraction and it sounds like you ar having problems "accommodating" enough to overcome the vision correction for distance that your contacts give you.
wow thankyou for your help!! i was just worried that it could be due to a neurological problem but thats a relief to find out that its not
its just weird that sometimes i see it even without my contacts or glasses on but i mostly only see it (or it gets worse) with my contacts on. Does this mean that my perscription could be too strong? how would i fix this accomodating problem =S because i get alot of eye strain and sore eyes which is really starting to annoy me. Im trying not to wear my glasses or contacts at all but i kind of rely on them to watch tv so its a bit hard.
