Recovery time from laser retinopexy?

Hi folks! I had laser retinopexy for lattice degeneration/pvd nearly three weeks ago.  I still have occasional soreness in the eye.  I've called my provider twice now and they've said if it gets worse or I have vision changes to call them back.  My vision hasn't changed but the discomfort is still there...a dull pain in specific, focused spots. It hasn't gotten worse so have not called them back again.  The pain is similar to during the procedure (ouch...not pleasant!) but nowhere near as intense.  It hasn't gotten worse thankfully but hoping this will go away with time?  Thanks for any insight!

Retina surgery is unique (how many laser spots, what size, what power, where located) that it is not possible to generalize.  As a generalization most pain and discomfort is gone 6-8 weeks post treatment. Some people see a dark or light spot 180 degree opposite of where the laser was placed that lasts for months to as long as a year.
