Recovery time/stages

Hello,  I am wanting to know the stages of recovery after retina detachment surgery.

On 9/12/11 I had cryotherapy  with  pneumatic retinopexy due to PVD that caused a detachment.
On 9/19 I returned to work (vision in the good eye only due to the bubble in the other)
On 9/28 I was in the hospital due to another detachment (same eye, different location) this time I had a scleral buckle, viterectomy, laser retinopoxy and pneumatic retinopexy.    (not sure on the spelling)
I returned back to work on 10/19/11 again with one good eye.  At this time, it's been 4 weeks since my last surgery.  I see the bubble lowering it's self but my vision above it is very very, VERY blurry and has a yellowish tent.   And the eye is very sore when I move it.

From this point (4 weeks post op)  what I can expect to happen, if I was a "typical patient and typical recovery".

Thank you!

Thank you for your response.   Your response is what I was thinking already.

But, one more question for you.   Yes, my doctor said that my "very small" cataract (prior to surgery) has grown very fast.    What time frame is protocol for a cataract surgery to be preformed after a RD?

From what I have been reading, that full recovery from RD surgery is close to 6 months.....   I personally would like the cataract removed by 12/30 (my deductible has been met!) .  But would that be unreasonable time frame since RD sx was 9/27?

I forgot to mention, you may also develop a cataract that may affect your vision that may need to be addressed during the recovery process (in the next few months).

There is no typical case unfortunately when it comes to retinal detachment surgery and each individual is different.  Final vision may not be stable for up to six months.  Most of it will be where it is going to end up in most peope by the two month point though in my experience.
