Treatment for Uveitis

Hi Doctor! My wife is 36 and diagnosed with Uveitis and on steroid eye-drops now.  After lot of tests our doc suggested two reasons for it either TB or Sarcoidosis. She had no symptoms of TB so far but MT was 17mm and CT guided FNAC shows granulomatous inflammation and the chest X-ray indicated a possibility of sarcoidosis but later a board of doctors ruled out sarcoidosis. Having started the TB medication for a week we now wish to continue her treatment for UVEITIS . As I came to know that Steroid is the only option for treating Uveitis I am afraid of both (TB and Uveitis) the medicines that will add extra weights in her body. Any solution to that?  Or any expert comment to help me.

They should be treating the uveitis with topical steroids or injections.  Those should not affect her weight.  They shouldn't be treating her with steroid pills when she may have TB.  The pills for TB you can't do anything about.  Discuss side effects with the prescribing doctor.  Weight gain is reversible though so she needs to get the treatment necessary to get better.
