Restor and CME

I had a Restor IOL implanted last June. My immediate reaction when the bandages were removed was that the lens was the totally wrong power. I patiently waited as the doctor was convinced  my vision would improve. I was subsequently (two weeks after the cataract surgery) diagnosed with CME and an epiretinal membrane. I suspect that this condition existed previous to my cataract surgery. Since that time, I have had a vitrectomy and epiretinal membrane peel, but my vision is still horrible at all distances. What are my chances of ever seeing out of this eye?

I will have to get the refractive error figures from my optometrist. Limbal relaxation incisions were done by my cataract surgeon at the time of that surgery. He said he was able to correct al but a small amount of the astigmatism. The single vision glasses that were prescribed only correct the distance vision to about 20/200. The computer and music glasses (I am a keyboardist and violinist) only correct that distance to about 20/100.  The CME is not completely resolved but I will only know how much exactly until the next OCT is done.At this point I have no idea how much of my visual difficulties have to do with the CME and how much with the Restor lens. I am afraid that I will never be a candidate for an explant and am worried that even when the CME is completely resolved my vision will not improve much. From what I have read on this site, I should have never gone for the multifocal and am now "stuck" with it.  Am I past the time when an explant could even be considered?

It would be helpful to know if you have any residual refractive error (sphere and astigmatism),   CME,  your vision, etc.
