1. Above all else protect the remaining eye from injury, eye disease and vision damage from an unhealthy lifestyle. That means wearing eye protection, avoiding sports and activities with eye injury and eating good diet, not smoking cannabis or nicotine, exercise, weight control and drinking more more than two alcoholic beverages per day (preferrably red wine if you choose to drink)   2. See an comprehensive eye MD annually and a retina Eye MD ophthalmologist yearly, ideally 6 months apart.   Your good eye may have as high as 5-15% chance of getting RD   Avoiding jarring blows to head and eye and avoid whip head around amusement rides.
2. You would have to see a second retina Eye MD ophthalmologist for a second opinion about what might be done to help the operated eye and confirm good eye has no problems.

Thank you Dr Hagan for your comprehensive and quick reply. You mentioned some vital points I was not aware of. My vision on right eye was nearly damaged (20/100) when I noticed the detachment & after surgery (scleral buckling), the vision never recovered. Once I asked my physician about possible remedies for the vision recovery, but he said there is no way! My question is that what possible remedies are out there to enhance the vision. Or to be more accurate, are there any probable remedies at all?
If your present ophthalmologist offers you no hope of improvement then get a second opinion as suggested in #2. Sometimes it is possible to improve the vision sometimes not.  Getting a minimum of 2 opinions is important when the first physicians offers 'no hope'
