Retina tear
Yesterday I had laser surgery for a retinal tear. Two days before I had many floaters and went in to see the retina doctor. I went back again the next day to check and then 25”4 hours later he wanted me to come in again and he found a tear. It happened overnight. I’m terrified I will get more tears. I ams seeing him Monday. Can it happen I’ll get more tears or a retinal detachment? My other eye only had peripheral vision so I could be blind if it happens. Any thoughts or encouragement? I’m 64 years old

Can you also get more than one RD?
Yes unfortunately.
Unfortunately you can get more tears and you can get a RD. However only your surgeon could give you the 'odds" of these problems developing.
