Retinal detachment

Hello Doctor.I am Rajesh from India.I had Retinal detachment in my left eye in 2002 dec becasue of eye injury(Hit by cricket ball)
.Treated with scleral buckle.
My right eye was lasered 360 degress to prevent RD occuring in my right eye as I am high myopic -10 D on both eyes(prior to RD)
.Two years back doctor found a hole in retina of  my right eye (which was lasered 360 degress) and lasered it immediately.
Last month I was hit by a baby on my right eye.I immediately rushed to the hospital and assured me that every thing is fine.
Suddenly I saw many floaters and circle like flash in my left eye i went for a dilated exam and told every thing was fine.

I went for second opinion the doctor did a dilated exam and found a hole near lattice. He lasered the hole.He asked me to come back
for another checkup in one month. He also diagnoised that I have PVD in both the eyes.

He also told that the flashes will not stop immediately but takes time

It iss 12 days since i had laser treatement
1) I am seeing many changes in my eye like flashes, floaters, black new spots after laser

MY questions are :
1)What are the chances that I will get RD in my right eye though it is lasered 360 degrees
2)What are the chances that I get  re-detachment in the left eye

1. Risk is low but higher than normal
2. Can't tell on this, only by looking in the eye could that answer be given. Ask your surgeons.

Light and flashes generated by retinal traction does not last 20 minutes continually or look like lightening bolts. Your description would be consistent with eye migraines. I have these suggestions.

1. Use the search feature and archives and read about eye migraine/ophthalmic migraine.
2. See your retina Eye MD soon to have both eyes checked. If stable ask the retina ophthalmologist to refer you to a neuro-ophthalmologist.
3. Also see your personal physician MD to discuss and have the rest of your body checked since in some instances TIA (transient ischemic attack) caused by disease of the brain, heart or blood vessels can cause these symptoms.
4. Always remember the importance of protecting your eyes from another injury or extreme stress (such as riding roller coasters, theme park thrill rides, etc)

Hi Doctor,

I had another dilated exam yesterday and was told that every thing is fine.
Still my floaters are increasing gradually(in Right eye wich was not lasered) .Is this beacuse of PVD?
Also I am seeing gold color circle(dim) (not at blinking but present all most all the  time) is it because of buckle placed in my eye ..or because of PVD or because of laser treatement.I am more worried as these are symptoms of RD.

Are the above conditions really need to be bothered about.

Thanks in advance.

No flashers, floaters, blocks sports are not side effects, they are symptoms of the retina condition the laser is used to treat.

Blurred vision at near: No  not unless the pupil is still dilated.
