Thanks Sandra,
I found out only I can see the photo(sorry).
I recalled that the NZ doctor mentioned about the possible infection caused it, but didn't use term toxoplasmosis. She was born in NZ but when we travelled to the Philippines we went to see another specilaist there. She also said that nothing can be done. Is it because my daughter's case is not macular pucker?
If her eye turns off badly later on, can she have other type of surgery to make eye straight?
I could not find your photo link. If your daughter was born in the Phillipines, and the problem was described as a "scar" as opposed to a congenital malformation, then possibly she had toxoplasmosis. Toxoplasmosis can be acquired in the womb or can be caught shortly after birth - it is an infection. It is rare in the US but still common in other countries like Mexico. Toxoplasmosis is nothing like a macular pucker. Can you recall ever being told what specifically caused the scar, or given a short list of possibilities? I suspect someone somewhere gave you a more specific diagnosis.
I just put a photo of my daughter'eye. Just click photo tab on the application ( left culumn of the page). Thanks
