SLK?

Not sure where to begin but i am currently using synthroid 37.5 mcg for goitor therapy, normal levels but growing goitors with hypo  thryoid symptoms  so for several years now i have been having crazy eye problems and finally I was told today that all my previous conditons like  conjunctivitis , keratitis laceration dry eyes pain in the eye ball . blood shot eyes out of the blue is now SLK? so he has ordered generic Forte pred  1 drop 4 x a day so do i use it during my wake up hours or around the clock? i took my first dose at 1 pm  , now we figured 2 yrs ago i had a bad case in NOV and now i got this in OCT, i was riding in the rain and i woke up with a dry painful eyeball and a huge blood band on top of my eye (whites) like a finger pressing on my eye ball so,  so my dr said your medically oriented so dont' read too much stuff and scare yourself so my vision has not changed its just the dry burning eye ball and i have sustane, oh and i am currently battling  wheat and gluten allergies my gastroscope said my Villa is fine no blunting or cancer  but my body is dumping everythiing i eat and drink so did this bring out the SLK?  stress?  i am currently eating bobs redmills GF products and i am holding my own but i had weeks of this and losing wt.
any insight on my new adventure i'm 43 white female if that is pertainant to SLK? is this heriditary ? my mom has dry eyes an no sojourns ?
