Something in my eye I can't get out

Funny thing.. I was jogging down a hill and I tripped on a curb. When I got up, I just couldn't keep my left eye open! When I try to rinse it out in front of the sink or in the shower it just doesn't want to come out. When I look forward and blink, my eye begins to water and it hurts pretty bad. I have to constantly look sideways and it hurts the most when my eyes are closed. I am tempted to simply lift my eye lid and use my finger nail to take out whatever is behind there, but I am very paranoid when it comes to touching my eye. Whatever is behind there does not want to move either, its been in the same spot since the time i fell. Any help would be appreciated!

If the eye is not better tomorrow, or if it is worse, see a doctor to find out if something is stuck in the eye or if you might have a scratch there that needs treatment.

I don't believe that it is a corneal abrasin or a corneal foreign body as it only hurts when i look at the object (under my eyelid). It hurts wherever I touch it with my pupil/iris (can't tell up to what extent). I'm leaning towards a possible infection/bump under my eyelid? I don't understand how this could happen so suddenly though.

You either have a corneal abrasion or a corneal foreign body.  You need to see an ophthalmologist ASAP!!!
