Weird entopic phenomenon

Sorry if this isn’t a medical question, my eyes are checked every year and are fine, I’m very hyper aware though...

I was checking one of my eyes with a phone flashlight and happened to notice that; if you hold a flashlight in your foreground vision but focus your gaze/stare at something in the background, and then move the flashlight around while still focusing on something in the background - the flashlight creates a “spot of light reflection” that moves oppositely to the direction the light is being aimed at (if your holding it near your ear, the spot is manifested on the nose side) but once you focus on the flashlight or move the flashlight into the background and focus on something in the foreground (ie: a finger tip infront of the phone so the flashlight is now behind what you’re looking at instead of in front), the “spot” vanishes? This happens in both eyes , I know it’s a very weird observation, but I’m guessing it’s because when you’re not focusing on the light and looking at something in the background, the light is being freely scattered/reflected through the lens? How does this work, it’s easier to understand if you try it yourself

Yes, that is the way the eye works. I don't have time to explain focal points, retinal images and physiological double vision. You can read more on the internet.
