Dear Yukilq,
If this is still occurring and troubling you, one of the best questions to ask your eyeMD is to explain the possible things this could represent. It at least may allay your fears about macular degeneration.

If sounds like you have are floaters. Do a search on floaters in the forum or on the web. I have them too, and they are no fun...But your choices are limited. Floaters are usually harmless. If you see an increase, or flashing lights see a en eye MD quickly.
I actually went to see the Eye MD already. the eye doctor that I mention above is an Eye MD. He said that the back of my eye is fine. The optic nerve is also normal too. He actually took a picture of it. I swirls aren't black in nature. It's more transparent in nature and a little bit of light since it's like blinking. I see fine detail perfectly fine. Perfectly fine text anything in the computer screen looks absolutely normal. This only happens when I look up in the sky long enough. I'm really worried that I got some sort of rare disease....T_T
Hi, I am a community leader here not a doctor. I have a lot of experience helping eye patients including myself. Welcome to our community.
The doctors will review my answer, and post more if they cann help more. Write back anytime.
Are the swirly things black? Do you see any lights?
Dr. Feldman of this forum has written:" I would recommend you see an EyeMD to have this checked again should symptoms of light flashes persist, sudden increase in floaters, or the appearance of a curtain in your peripheral vision. Make sure to get your questions answered when you see your doctor."
Yes. Make a list of questions.
If you want reassurance about your eyes, see an eye MD, an ophthalmologist. Find one
at www.aao.org. You can also see a retinologist.
Write back if you want.
