Surgery on foot now bad vision

Yes I was just wondering I had foot surgery on Sept 30th 2011. During surgery they could not keep me under so they gave me the max on anasthesia and the max on pain meds.. Anyway after surgery I noticed my vision was blurry thought it would get better it did not In Novemeber I got 2 opinions on my eyes one from a othomologist. He said suregry couldnt do that and get the glasses.. My vision was good before the surgery after I got the glasses I started to notice the words had shadows like double vision especially on the TV and road signs.. I did go back he said continue to wear glasses... I went to a Neuro who did a MRI to rule out a brain tumor stroke or MS all was normal.. I am taking busiprone for anxiety but I started that after all the vision issues in March of this yr.. I just feel off they say my right eye has a bad stigmatism in it and my left eye hardly has a prescription in the lens although they say thats my weak eye go figure.. Can you help shed any light here? Oh I meant to add before surgery I had a bout of dizziness for about 3 weeks went to ENT but they never came up with anything I think I was worked up for the surgery I am just ready to feel good.. Neuro released me from his care as well... Can vision issues cause brain issues as well like the off feeling I have?

My Mom had a similar situation. Went in for hernia surgery. Had no problem with her vision, prior to this surgery. After the surgery, vision was never the same. Same thing with my Aunt....went in for surgery(different kind of surgery, different hospital). She said her eyes and vision were never the same afterwards. Good luck!

Yes they have checked them 2 times.. Yes I know I over paid after the fact.. Do you think I could have a tumor? Even though MRI in Nov was negative?

Difficult to tell without examining your eyes.  It would be highly unlikely from general anesthesia etc but if you have doubts, you should see a neuroophthalmologist for another opinion.  You paid too much for your glasses :0.  You may want to go back and have them recheck it to make sure it's not the wrong prescription and that they were made correctly.
