Test Results for corneal topography. Toric IOL?

These are the results for my LEFT EYE from the Corneal Topography. I will be having cataract surgery for this in March and have been recommended to get a Toric IOL:

Cornea Power:
Avg SimK:   43.31 (Cyl -1.61@103 degrees)

APP:  43.27 SD 0.***@****

ECCP:  43.***@****

Cornea SA  9.***@****

Dose this support the decision to go with a Toric IOL?

Any expert opinion would help.

So you do qualify for a Toric.  It is optional though.  If you don't mind wearing glasses for far and near after the surgery, you can go with a regular lens.  A Toric is not guaranteed but there should be a 90% chance or so that you can see distance or near (whichever you choose) without glasses.

thanks for the response. Boy, that sounds drastic by all measures except that golf is my passion and has been for 55+years. But is there not a way to fashion glasses to solve the left slope problem. since the slope I see very minor (except when it comes to reading a putt in golf)? The pair I lost did that. Thanks.
