Vision disturbance when looking at ojects in motion

Hello. In the last 3-4 months I have noticed something strange with my vision. If I am looking at text on my computer screen and then scroll down (causing the text to move up quickly) it causes a vision "disturbance" so to speak. It is as if my eyes cant follow the text and I have to stop scrolling and focus again to find my place. I have also noticed that when I am watching tv, a commerical for instance, and it shows fast moving images from different angles, I have to look away for a second and "get my bearings", almost like a dizziness. This makes it somewhat difficult to watch tv sometimes. It is sort of hard to explain. I do not wear glasses. I do not have dizziness related to vertigo. No lightheadedness. No mental status changes. No disturbance in gait or balance. No blurred vision. I have no other neurlogic symptoms that I am aware of. I am wondering if this might be an eye/vision issue. I am a medical transcriptionist, so I do have to look at text on a screen all day. However, the problem is still there in the morning after a good night's sleep and before I begin work. Since I have no insurance, I am trying to figure out if I should be worried about this,  get an eye exam, or go see a doctor. Is this a commonly reported symptom? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Dear momoftwo74,

I would recommend that you seek the care of a neuro-ophthalmologist to determine the cause of this disturbance.

Hi. Thanks so much for your advice. I did notice that over the holidays (after having a few days off from my work as an MT) that the symptoms subside. I will definitely research and find that kind if doctor here in the Atlanta area. I appreciate your time.
