Visual Snow has symptoms of retinal detachment?

I've had visual snow and stringy floaters for several months. When I close my eyes, I see flashing/sparking lights (especially when I move them) -- which is consistent with potential signs of retinal detachment. Alternatively, it could simply be an additional symptom of visual snow (my hope).

My question is: Do other visual-snow sufferers experience that same symptom? My opthomologist has inspected my retina claiming that it looks healthy/normal and I should not be concerned about this symptom indicating retinal detachment.

It is possible that you exhibit this symptom due to traction on the retina.  Although you have had your eyes checked, I would recommend a re-examination if your symptoms persist or change.  Any change in your symtpoms, defintely warrants an immediate retinal visit.
