Visual problems

I have been having problems with my vision.
I often get black dots and lines floating around in my visual field.  I was less concerned about the dots but the increase in the number of 'lines' was concerning.  I did have a tree branch hit me in the eye and had wondered if that had done any damage.  I did see my optometrist after this and he said my eyes and vision were fine.
Some months later I went to the ED because I lost a chunk of vision out of my right eye with a zigzag of prism-like colors at the top.  I also had slurred speech.  The doctor screened for TIA, etc but I think the consensus was that it was a migraine.  My GP has spoken of visual migraines and classic migraines.
Currently I'm having issues with my eyes (predominantly the left) where my vision is all blurry.  I thought it may have been due to hay fever but antihistamines and drops haven't been effective.
Also since the ED experience writing (on the computer screen) seems to appear red and green, etc versus the typical black.
Should I be concerned and is there anything I can do about this?
I have high stress and anxiety and worry about potential neurological conditions.
Thank you in advance for any advice.

Thank you both for your advice.
I think the lines are pretty much limited to the one eye.  It sounds feasible that this may be a result of being hit by the branch.  I wear contact lenses and the lens was pretty cut up afterwards.  I did speak to my GP who just asked me to read an eye chart.
I also forgot to mention that the whites of my eyes appear to be a pale blue.  I'm not sure if this is significant of not.  I worry that it may be due to oxygen deprivation, etc.
I find myself second guessing myself all the time due to an anxiety disorder.
I'll follow this up again with my GP.  He also does all the specialist referrals.
I suspect it's probably a combination of all three.  Migraine, hay fever and branch.  ??
Thanks again for your time and input.

Yes, I agree that you should see a retinal speicalist ophthalmologist.  Unfortunately, you may indeed have visual migrianes but it might be useful for you to see a neuro-ophthalmologist as well.  If you were hit with a tree branch one eye then it would affect that eye only, but since you mentioned both eyes, the incident may or may not have anything to do with the symptoms.  It really doesn't matter since you need a full complete evaluation anyway.  You need to take things to the next level by seeing the specialists I mentioned.

Go to a retina specialist just to make sure your retina is in tact.
