glaucoma/allergy/codeine and sulfites

dear doctors,
i have all of a sudden gotten pressure in one eye, 44, and the othe about 31.
the 44 one has congenital cataract and surgeries, so the pressure has always been
somewhat higher in it with an artificial lens.

the corneas of mine are super thick, beyond even normal overly thick ones if that
makes sense.

i do not like the idea of drops. and wonder what's going on.
i had to take tons of tylenol 3 for a muscle disorder, and i discovered they contain sulfites,
of which i'm allergic to, and i wonder if they and allergy make glaucoma worse?  I typically
had normal IOP but the use of tylenol 3 does coincide with the increased IOP, although I realize
that may be just coicidence.
any thoughts.  suggestions?
there is no optic nerve damage seen, and i passed the fields tests beautifully.
eye scans show things to be great.

I have just been diagnosed with pigmentary glaucoma in my left eye.
I do yoga three times a week with many head down poses.  I also
walk and jog.  Are these exercises contributing to the pressure rise?
Also take Valium, is this a danger factor?  I am 67.

Dear frootbar,

I would definitely recommend that you follow your eyeMD’s advice about the use of eyedrops.  Intraocular pressure readings can be elevated due to thick corneas; however, your doctor should be able to assist in interpreting the two.
