Eye

Hello Dr I am 37 years old and today as I walked out of a store I felt something going on with my left eye my friend who happened to be with me said my left eye was getting bigger than the right, this is the first time this happens and it only lasted for about 15-20 seconds then went back to normal should I be concerned or why did this happen?

Thank you for your response. I have actually scheduled an appointment with a Dr. My father experienced headaches and eye problems and was diagnosed with having a brain tumor. I have been having similar issue's but this eye situation was the icing on the cake. I noticed also light seems to be bothering my left eye and when some light hits my eye my head seems to hurt a bit towards the left back part. I have an e.r. department about 2 blocks from where I live so I was told if I was to encounter any type of situation before my appt to just go there if needed. But thank you again.

Being such a short duration, hard to say if it's anything significant.  Probably would not hurt to get a baseline eye exam to exclude any problems.  Most common cause of eyes "bulging" outward is thyroid disease so a screening test may be considered.
