What is catalog (uveitis)

I have had uveitis since I suffered an accident when I was five yrs old (I am now 25).  My eyesight is 20/300, and I've been having trouble with my eyes lately.  The MD wants me to have surgery to correct the detachment, but I am concerned because my "eye pressure" is zero.  Are there other alternatives other than surgery?

Dear Jahmir,

I would recommend that you seek a second opinion if you are unsure of whether to proceed with treatment.

Your problem does not lend itself to generalizations. Thus we cannot comment. You should consider a second opinion by another retinal surgeon.
