What pain medication can be taken with AMD

I have lost the central vision in my left eye from wet macular degeneration and was diagnosed with the same condition in my right eye 3 months ago.  First diagnosed at 50 and am now 55 years old.  I did have Lucentis injections in the left eye for 3 years and have started the same treatment in my right eye.  Due to the vision distortions and depth perception problems I have taken several falls this past year.  Yesterday was the latest fall and today I'm in bad shape.  Major back injuries to soft tissue in 1987 with permanent nerve damage in upper and lower back.  I am allergic to all drugs in the morphiene family and need to be able to take something stronger than aspirin or tylenol.  Tramadol and Ultram have very little if any effect and I have been told my the family doctor that Ibuprofen, Aleve and Celebrex are now unhealthy for my eye condition.  Any suggestions as to what can be taken for pain that won't interfere with the current eye treatments?

undoubtedly you are under the care of a retina Eye MD ophthalmologist. Call him/her and ask for their recommendations. Generally prescription strength ibuprofen is acceptable.

Sorry, this information needs to come from your treating MD.  Call your retina MD again or your general ophthalmologist. For legal reasons we cannot tell you specifically what to take.
