Where I get real help??

I have call, and written and not getting any help in Nevada.
On Aug. 9 we went to eye doctor for a tune up. My husband who has
Macular Degeneration and knew this, was told he has a very aggressive
dry Macular Degeneration the doctor said. Told my husband not to drive,
and also inform him, he would lose his sight in 3-6 months. My husband is
one of these people who like to keep busy and help me around the house.
I do not know how to handle any of this future stuff he is handling over
to me. Also the eye doctor told him to stop taking the vitamin pills for his eyes
because they will not help him anymore. Both of us have retired and don't know
anyone except Walmart the would hire me, I for one have a bad hip and knees
and can't stand for 8 hrs. a day. The worst to this is that his
father is living with us and he is 92 yr. old. He has his own medical
problems. We both are his care takers, I can not care for the both of them .
Looking for benefit help, tools for husband, and support.

I would suggest you get a second opinion from an eye MD ophthalmologist that specializes in retina/macula.  There should be this type of specialized ophthalmologist in Reno or Las Vegas.  These types of eye MDs also can determine if you husband is legally blind and eligible for social security and other benefits.  The most aggressive form of dry macular degeneration is call "geographic macular degeneration"
