Thank you Dr Hagan,
Your advice has been very helpful
I will go and consult an Eye MD
thanks again

1. I would not expect the optom to do another exam at no cost to you. You might get by with just asking to pay the cost of a glasses check (refraction).
2. An optometrist is not a MD, not a physician, and cannot give the kind of exam you get from an Eye MD.
I can't comment on your individual problem

Thank you for your timely response Dr. Hagan
I just had this eye exam a couple weeks ago.
should i go back to the optometrist and ask for a re-exam
and if so should it be provided to me at no additional cost?
....more info on the exam
it was very quick and rushed
Also, if my poor eye sight in my left eye were to be cause by some type of "exception" should my optometrist have looked for those types of causes/symtoms or do i have to go to another type of specialist?
Thanks again,
-Abe
squinting creates a "pinhole" effect. If pinhole effect improves vision generally glasses will do the same. there are some exceptions such as some types of cataracts.
See an Eye MD for a refraction/glasses test and a second opinion.
