Xalatan and other glaucoma meds

How much can Xalatan lower IOPs by? If it is not enough to get into safe figures, can other prostaglandins be tried?

Is it realistic to hope that some of them will work for more than 2 or 3 years or is tolerance almost always built up to the drugs?

Thanks for your response, but I'd still like to know how long Xalatan is typically effective. Also, what is the longest amount of time you've ever had a patient on Xalantan before tolerance is built up?   Thanks again, and I do very much appreciate that there are doctors responding to questions on forums such as this one...

The average is probably about 2-4 points but I have had people where the IOP dropped over 10 pts.

There are two other types of prostaglandin analogs, three other classes of drops, selective laser trabeculoplasty and surgery as further therapy
