Yellow eyes

I’m wondering if eyes can be a tad yellow. Everyone I’ve spoken to says that the eye is white. Just white. But can they be a slight tint of yellow under the eyelids? My eyes has a faint yellow ring around them, I do have elevated liver enzymes that doctors have just ignored so I haven’t taken them seriously but now I’m about to push them to at least double check and I’m not sure if this is even a thing.

Most eyes are not brilliant white. They can be reddish and appear yellowish. This can be due to the effects of age and sunlight exposure causing the elastic fibers to discolor. Of course the classic yellow eye is due to jaundice due to liver disease. You would need to discuss this with your health care team and also see an ophthalmologist for a medical eye exam.

Thank you for the reply I really appreciate it. I was thinking if I walked around jaundiced, wouldn’t I sort of know..? From the pictures I see online the entire eye should be yellow but it’s only the parts you of my eye that are constantly covered by my eyelids. I will bring it up and just have it checked, I just hate feeling silly when bringing up symptoms that are just nothing..
You have to ask yourself and your doctors. "Why are you ignoring my elevated liver enzymes?"  They could be very borderline or very high. You deserve an explanation from them.  You can also see an Eye MD ophthalmologist for a complete eye exam to be sure they are healthy and the Eye MD can tell you if jaundiced or not.
