On 4/20 of this year it was discovered by my retinal specialist that I had a retinal detachment in my left eye at 12:00. A gas bubble was injected and four days later it was laser back into place. Two days ago at a recheck visit my retina doctor said everything looked good and to come back in a month. I have seen the retinal surgeon once a week since the detachment and at every visit he stated everything looked fine. I inquired about the poor vision at times and he said the detachment was not in a place to impair my vision. He suggested that I go to an optometrist for a possible new prescription for my glasses. My question is sometimes my vision is worse in that eye than at other times and there seems to be a brown spot moving around in my field of vision. It is much larger than the typical black speck floaters that I see frequently. Any idea what this moving dark spot could be? I know I have a cataract on that eye that is not ready to be removed. Thank you any advice would be helpful.
