It sounds like you might have some hemosiderin staining--i.e., your skin has been stained by your blood.  I had that problem following eye surgery.  In some cases, this type of staining can be permanent--but don't worry, I have a solution for you.  Google "candela laser" to find the company's website.  You'll find a small-scale study in which the AlexTriVantage laser successfully removed "permanent" hemosiderin stains.  (This is the same laser used to remove tattoos.)  I used the "doctor finder" feature on the website to get a referral to a dermatologist in my area who had that laser.  The laser treatment wasn't painful or even terribly expensive.  Within a week, the dark stain under my eye came to the surface of my skin and then flaked off.  Magic!  (If there is not a dermatologist in your area with the AlexTriVantage laser, a Q-switched laser should work equally well.)

Residual blook pigments (hemoglobin). Use a cover up type of skin product. Eventually it will absorb.  And stay out of fights.
