bloodshot eye

I am a young male aged 15. I have had these bloodshot eyes for about four years. They tend to be white during the day but when i wake up in the morning they tend to be bloodshot and when im out at night and in the evening the go bloodshot. This occurs in my left eye. My right eye seems clear. My vision is very good. They tend to be worse when i go away on a sunny holiday. But again they are clear in the day but at night the left turns bloodshot. It is worse in the evening on the holidays. Your help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the advice. I have booked an appointment with an opthalmologist. I have tried drops for dry eyes are there any other ways to treat dry eyes ?

Could be an allergic type problem or possibly eyelid margin disease or dry eyes - just a few possibilities.  Please make an appointment with an ophthalmologist for an evaluation.  Your symptoms are not normal and deserve attention.
