Be sure to take good care of the uninjured eye. Healthy life-style, regular visits to ophthalmologist, avoid activities that carry risk of injury to eye (power tools, lawn mowers, weed-eaters, contact sports).
I also tell my patients to avoid amusement rides that whip the head around and no yoga standing on head.

Thank your for your quick reply doctor my best wishes.
1. Yes the increased risk will be all her life. However it is more likely the treatment will prevent a RD than the RD will extend through the laser barriers
2. No one can tell you that for sure, her surgeons are the best to give you best predictions.
3. No, all you can consider it is that the eye had a RD and that laser to date has prevented an RD. It is not a normal eye and never will be again.
4. It is more likely related to the trauma.
5. Traction on the vitreous likely from the laser induced scars. Flashes without movement day or night would require a repeat exam by her Eye MDs.
