l would like to know :"what do you think about cerclage laser for preventing retina detachment. Is it in use in USA or in Canada. Is there any statistics about its efficacity of this procedure.

I would get the opinion of two board-certified ophthalmologist who are fellowship trained in vitreo-retinal surgery. Everything depends on your individual factors and characteristics as to whether you are a candidate and how effective it would be.

My left eye detached and did not take re-attachement well. So I urged my doctor to do SOMETHING to protect my right eye. He 360 lasered it Is this the same as cerclage.
In my case, I think it is a good solution. Like the doctor says, it must depend on the case.
