flashing in blind spot

After receiving pdt for ocular histo , Istarted having a flashing in my eyes. The pdt didn't work and i ended up having the hot laser done. The flashing I see in  my left eye is in the blind spot. When I close my right eye the flashing is very active and noticeable. With both eyes open, the best way I can describe it is that it is like a constant movement  in my line of vision left of center. When you see a shaft of sunlight on the wall, coming thru a window, moving, fluttering, with no color.I can also see it with my eyes closed, kind of like a strobe light. With both eyes open, it 's not as noticeable but I can also see it in my right eye (my good eye).If I close my left eye (bad eye) in a dark room it's very noticeable. In the beginning my doc said it would go away. My last visit  he said he was sorry I was having such a hard time dealing with the blind spot and did I have any other health issues, implying it may not be related I suppose. I don't know  what to do or what kind of doc to see.
