blister like formations on eyelid

Hi and thanks in advance for any help offered. I am 41 years old. I was sick head throat lots of coughing. Pretty much laid out for three solid days. First or second day of feeling good enough to go outside I had been sweating quite heavily. In the process of wiping my forehead/face across my left shoulder t-shirt it caught something like a small pimple on the top of my eyelid. Ouch. over the next 3-4 days this one small spot has turned into two blister like formations/ ridges that are most of the way across my lid. I will be trying to get a drs appt. tomorrow but wanted a head start. I do have pics hoping that I could load them here but no luck. Thanks for any help I can get

Dear ginvt,

I would definitely recommend that you seek the care of an eyeMD.  Without visualizing their appearance, it is difficult to assess what kind of infection or lesion it may be.

This could be something like a chalazion or hordeolum which could require antibiotics and warm compresses or it could even be something like a herpes simplex lesion (cold sore) on the eyelid.  Unfortunately it is something that needs to be seen in person as soon as possible by an ophthalmologist.
