Pars Planitis

I am 49 years old and I have Par Planitis.  I was wondering if there are any new treatments?  I have been using steriod drops for a year and have had injections.  However, the injections were causing cataracts to start to form so no more injecions for now.  This is a very frustrating disease.  Please any help would  be appreciated.

I also suffer from Pars Planitis.  There are a few treatment options available.  I have been on a drug for the last 6 years, that has really helped to stabilize my inflammation.

There are a variety of systemic medications (take by mouth, by injection into skin or muscle, or by IV) that are used in pars planitis.  Your ophthalmologist should collaborate with a rheumatologist to explore other options for you.
