what are common illnesses that cause pain behind the eyes? i have a throbbing pain behind my eyes i was thinking it was sensitivity to flourescent lights that they use at my school but i get intense migraines from looking at light of text messages and computers, also from reading very small text. i squint most of the time to dim the light i dont know what to do.

There are many possible causes from minor to more serious. I would start with a very complete eye exam with an ophthalmologist then you can first make sure that there is not a very serious eye problem. If clear there, then you can start to look for other possible causes - but you have to start with the complete eye exam.
