is it a sign of retinal tear, optometrist said i dony have one

Suddenly Intermittently, I see a black spot of light in vision they don't last for a long time, perhaps 3 -4 seconds  and then disappear, they're basically black spot of light that has a glowing ring around it , as it was possible od retinal tear , I saw an optometrist at Specsavers who did an eye exam and checked my retina and couldn't find a cause , I don't have a retinal tear it at least that's what my optometrist said, it was a good optometrist , are the black spots of light in vision serious, they don't last for a long time and I have mo other symptomsshould I be worried about this ? ( I posted this question before, but is in the wrong category, sorry)

In my exam you don't get much of an examination medically at "spec-savers" mainly you get a glasses test (refraction) there are some serious things that might cause those symptoms so I suggest you see an eye MD ophthalmologist. Ask your family MD to refer you.

I normally went when I stayed having these symptoms, and it's been about a month, and then the optometrist checked my retina using a Volk lens and dilation, and a slit lamp, she checked my retina and said that it was healthy,I was called In Specsavers for an emergency appointment when I told them my symptoms and they checked everything so isn't it likely that they checked medically, because i am a regular patient there for glasses and I had the ey problem and they called me for an emergency appointment when. Rang about my symptoms and the back of mu eye was checked , so isn't it possible, that it was checked properly ?
Also what kind of serious things would cause it, are they just like other flashes of light
Would this be a serious issue in not having any other symptoms? Its just a black or brown spot of light that pops in and out of my vision in ahout three seconds
Okay if you have such faith in "Specsavers" call and ask them these questions. I'm saying you need to see an Eye MD ophthalmologist with far more training and experience.
Okay I will bur what kind of serious problems would cause this symptom
