Two things - look for residual refractive error. Find out what your refractive error is now - you could have some myopia, hyperopis or astigmatism. You might need glasses for driving and part time for other things as well. Second - look for PCO posterior capsule opacification. A yag laser would help that.

Dr. Kutryb,
Thank you.
The doctor previously had said that I had three options: glasses with right lens correction
for distance (-2.50) and left lens plano, contact in right eye for distance, replace
right lens with monofocal lens for distance. At that time, the near vision was not appearing as choppy as it now seems. I would be concerned about replacing the
lens since the surgery was done February 6. I would not think the PCO would be the
issue this soon after surgery, but I guess anything is possible.
I do not know what the refractive error is, other than what he wrote the eyeglass script
for. Would progressive lenses be an option, or is that not done for monovision issues?
With thanks for your time and expertise.
