new prescription sunglasses

just received my new prescription sunglasses four days ago and when I wear them for a two hr period of time,my eyes start burning and my eyes get all blood shot.it seems as though the new ones are not as clear as my last prescription. I have my eyes checked every year.i used my old frames and only had the lens changed.but one thing I did go with this prescription is transicional lenses.  thanks.  tom

I would ask your optometrist if the prescription glasses were made correctly.  Also variations in lens material, base curve, or vertex distance (distance from the lens to the cornea) all could account for some blurring.

Your eye doctor/optometrist can check to see if the prescription in your new lens is the same as the prescription you were given.
That should be your first step.
