Red eye with a cyst?

For the past few days (5 days) I have this redness on the outer part of my left eye with sort of a pimple/cyst looking bubble in the centre of the redness. It has reoccurred a couple of times but, this time it hurts slightly and has remained/stayed longer than usual. Please advise, I did see my GP the last time it came & was advised it will go away, & it did, now it's back again. I wear spectacles for reading & distance. Gazza.

You need to see an ophthalmologist to determine exactly what this is.  Eye redness has many possible causes, and the treatments differ.

Dear Doctor,

Thank you for your reply, I have just been to my G.P., he has asked me to return on Monday to fix an appointment with an Ophthalmologist as today being Saturday (weekend off) or busy. I will surely keep you posted on the outcome. Thank you once again for your time.

Regards,

Gaza68.
