pain and redness inner corner of eye

Two important bits of information I forgot - I'm 50, but in very good health, exercise regularly - only health issue is low thyroid which I've taken synthroid for since I was 20 and have a blood test done every year.  Secondly, I did have LASIK surgery about 7 years ago, but have had no problems before this - have monovision and its still holding quite well.

Thank-you for your input.  It was very helpful to know we're probably on the right track with my treatment. Take care.

The lasik info makes me much more suspicious for dry eye.
