Dear gamemaker37,

Early surgery may improve useful vision. Surgical intervention might depend upon whether one or both eyes are affected and the extent of disease. I would recommend that you take you son to an eyeMD specializing in retinal surgery, if possible, pediatric retinal surgery.  You may find one on the AAO.org www site, find an eyeMD.
