play dough ball in eye

Dr Hagan, i have one good eye and today while teaching sunday school, one of the kids threw a small balk of playdough at me at hit me right on the top of my eye. It hit the lid but certainly hit the eye. No real pain, but it is a little uncomfortable. Does this type thing warrant an ophthalmologist visit even with no symptoms? I am 38, -1, with some lattice. Thanks...

I would go in regardless and talk to the Eye MD about protective glasses.

Dr hagan, the syntax was a bit confusing..did you mean go in tomorrow". Or "go in tomorrow if anything develops today".? So far, no blurry, no redness, no pain. I always hate to overreact, but undereeacting is worse.

Thanks again

If you are down to one eye yes, try and get in  tomorrow for an exam. If any big problem develops today.  Consider wearing glasses all the time even in no RX in them for protection (plano RX in polycarbonate impract resistent lens).
