monocular diplopia

I had cataract surgery in my left eye on 10--11-07.  I had cataract surgery in my right eye earlier but that eye has retinal problems and I don't us e it much.  I havaae haziness in the left eye that is scheduled to be treated by Yag late in January.  What does the double vision in my left eye mean?  What can be done?

The single vision ghosting you notice are hopefully due to the secondary cataract. Again hopefully the yag capsulotomy will take care of that.

Use GOOGLE IMAGES and search the term secondary cataract. You'll see multiple diagrams and pictures of the film you're looking through now and you can see the hole that the Yag laser cuts through the cloudy membrane.

Thanks so much for your answer.  I knew of double vision being caused by misalignment of the two eyes, but doublevision from a single eye did not make sense. It is encouraging to I hope the YAG will correct the problem.
